A cortado is a beverage consisting of espresso mixed with a roughly equal amount of warm milk to reduce the acidity. The milk in a cortado is steamed, we are looking for micro foam but not frothy.

For our coffee at Lake Safari Lodge, we use a 1:2 ratio, so ristretto (30mls) or espresso (40mls) to 80mls of milk.
